Cantifix Architectural Glazing

Either as purely a design feature, or possibly as a way on keeping an eye on the kids downstairs, a glass floor can make good sense. It allows light to cascade from one floor down, or up, to the next. Glass floors can be specified for internal or external applications.

When used internally, a laminate of sheet glass is used, with anti-slip treatment on the upper surface, and possibly to the underside as well, for modesty purposes. External applications require the glass floor to be insulated (much like a double glazed unit), keeping the cold out, and the heat in.

A different specification is therefore used, allowing for an additional sheet of glass to be bonded to the underside, allowing for a 16mm cavity and low ‘E’ coating.
