Cantifix were very pleased to be involved in the construction of the new Children’s Theatre on the south bank of the Thames, just below Tower Bridge. The Contractor Mansells and the Architects ……. set out to create an exciting internal space that would not intimidate or swamp the clientele.

This space had to include; meeting rooms, rehearsal studios, restaurants, offices and, of course, a large theatre. Each area is connected by ramps and staircases, in a way that allows the whole building to flow from top to bottom.

Natural light floods in through the multitude of structurally glazed slots and, more specifically, the two glass pods that are connected to the restaurant and one of the meeting rooms.
The external skin of the building is a combination of black brickwork, copper, tiles and insulated rendering. This change of materials presented many challenges to the construction of the Cantifix glazing, eventhough the overall expression is one of simplicity.
