Bespoke Glazing

Product Details

There are many types of glass, some are purely functional and others are decorative, and they all provide additional options for consideration.
All the double glazed units supplied by Cantifix include a Low "E" coating and have argon gas in the cavity. This provides for the best insulation quality and the Low Emissivity coating reflects the heat of the sun away from the inside, whilst also preventing as much heat as possible from dissipating.
By using a reflective glass this effect is maximised; however the appearance is also dramatically altered.
Tinted glass can be used to change both the appearance and the environment. Tints are available in a range of colours from green to grey, through blue and brown and they can have a beneficial affect on the glare from the sun, but should be properly considered in view of the quality of light transmitted.
There are decorative and functional films that can be applied to change both the function and the decorative effect. These have the advantage that they are applied post installation and can be removed at a later date.
Other bespoke glass would include glass spacers, UV bonded corners and Low-iron glass. It is the iron in the glass which gives it the slight green tint and when this is removed the glass become virtually colourless.
