It is not always necessary or desirable to go for a frameless glazing option. The contrast between large expanses of glass and a slim frame can complement the design in a compelling way.
It is also true that the cliche of "blurring the boundaries between inside and out" is not always appropriate and a clear division between these states is preferable.
Framed glazing has some advantages over structural glazing: it is often quicker to build; it allows for panels to be changed more easily; larger spans can be achieved; and it can be less expensive.
