Sliding doors
Product Details
Cantifix offer three distinctive sliding door systems and each system has its own characteristics. There are two essential parameters involved in the choice between these systems and those are size and cost.
The reasonably standard Gxi sliding doors can be used either as a separate installation or within a glazing scheme. The sight lines are typically 42mm on the central mullions, with larger sections used for the locks on either side. The cill can be recessed into the floor and the outer frame at the head and sides can also be recessed.
The CD sliding door system is mostly specified for very large sliding panels. The surrounding frame is 110mm wide and these doors can also be used either as a separate installation or within a glazing scheme.
The Skyframe range is the latest addition to our sliding door systems (see SKYFRAME DOORS) and works on the principle of using the inherent strength of the glass to minimise the width of the frame. The sight lines are typically 22mm and there is no top or bottom frame showing above or below the finishes. This is virtually a frameless door which is capable of large panel sizes.
Sliding doors are the most versatile way of incorporating a large opening into a minimalist glass project.
