Project Details

This busy theatre in North London required more office space, rehearsal rooms and a communal area for their audiences. The new extension was designed to complement the existing building without overpowering it.
A structural glass slot is the only connection between the old and new buildings, with the frame concealed within the render finishes and creating an almost invisible bridge between the two.
The glass roof and vertical face over the box office is more traditional, with the structural double glazed panels supported on steel "hockey sticks". The windows in the vertical face are electrically operated with a thermostat and rain sensors.
