Project Details
These days it is difficult to distinguish between the high streets of major Cities throughout the Country, let alone boroughs within the same City.
How does a new Shopping Centre create a separate and individual identity?
The Architects on this project decided that a modern folly would not only make this centre recognisable, but more visible from the surrounding main roads.
The glass towers are single glazed and structurally bonded to a steel frame. Each panel of glass was individually templated, due to the nature of the design, as it was constructed and fixed.
The four lanterns are all double glazed as they form part of the roof for the shops below. These panels are structurally bonded to the steel ridge and all other support is between the panels of glass and their neighbour.
