With just the addition of a set of sliding and folding doors and a small rooflight, this kitchen takes on an entirely different character. Even with snow on the ground, the invitation to move through into the garden is there.
The threshold of the doors is flush with the internal and external floor levels and, despite the dramatic change in materials, the illusion of extra space is palpable. On a warm summer evening the doors can be opened right back and the house and garden become one space. This is ideal for entertaining or containing a large family at home.
The rooflight is simply a large piece of structurally glazed glass, bonded to a frame and fixed to the upstands on the flat roof. Both the doors and the rooflight are available at cantifixonline for self installation or through our normal channels at Cantifix.
