Project Details
This simple glass roof and vertical face make an enormous difference to the rear of this North London home. What was the "dead" area between the existing extension and the boundary wall has become a vital component of the new space.
The double casement doors suggest a more conventional extension, but the full width panel above maintains the contemporary design as well as supporting the roof glass. The remainder of the roof panels are supported on standard curtain walling sections.
The adjacent sliding windows provide continuity across the rear elevation and the flush threshold of the doors helps to combine the outside and inside.
