South Hill Park Road Project Details

Individual living areas are naturally divided within a house by their use. The design intent of this multi-storey extension was to emphasise this division by creating living pods, which are both interconnected and separate.

The glass slots running in different directions are the unifying factor between the pods, as well as providing much needed light into the interior.

The sandblasted panel on the first floor protects the modesty of the person using the bathroom, whilst producing interesting and ever-changing shadows within.

The folding doors into the garden are both practical and a means of including the garden into the living space.
