Stepping Stone House

project details

The requirement for this project was to turn a set of flood-prone, dilapidated and disconnected outbuildings into a self-contained living space and large playroom, supported on stilts and joined to the main house with a glazed bridge.

  • Glass walls open up the lake-side elevations, allowing a continuous connection between outside and in
  • Sky-Frame sliding doors allow easy control of ventilation and access
  • The glazed roof ridge floods the space with natural light during the day and gives an almost unobstructed view of the stars by night
