When relocating their bathroom from a floor below their bedrooms, a key part of the client's brief was to create a light, airy space. Enter our first ever switchable glass invisible corner - combining the stunning minimalism of our invisible corners with privacy at the touch of a button, it was quite an undertaking. Switchable glass contains liquid crystal polymers inserted between two panes of glass connected to an electric current. When the current is off, the glass is opaque and when the current is on, it's completely clear. A second frameless window and electronically opening rooflight offer more light and all-important ventilation respectively. This innovative and imaginative project was nominated for several awards, including the 2017 Don't Move, Improve! award.
