Meet the Team
Charlie Sharman
Chairman
Alongside his brother and fellow director, William, Charlie founded Cantifix in 1986. No one has spent longer and gained greater expertise in the specialist glazing market than the two of them; however after 36 years he has recently passed on the CEO role to William. Charlie now works part time as Chairman and consultant for his colleagues.
Favourite Project
Senate House – at my first meeting with the client I was shown the CGI renderings they were given for a previous project on site and mentioned they were disappointed in the glass roof installed. I was relieved when the client said the finished roof we built looked better than the CGi renderings.

You know when you see and experience great architecture. For me it is normally when there is a feeling of space, plenty of natural light and a strong connection with the environment – somewhere to relax and rejuvenate, away from the madness around us.
Aspiration
I would like to spend more of my time in places where modern technology can’t find me. Our brains didn’t evolve to cope with endless stimulation and I know I don’t function at my best when I can’t switch off – visiting Africa always works for me.
