The Shattered Glass Awards 2026

This year’s event will be held at the Sky-Frame showroom on Britton Street, London, on the 20th of May 2026. Entries open from the 13th of March. Please submit your project(s) for entry via the form below.

The Shattered Glass Awards return in 2026 to celebrate the most innovative uses of architectural glazing and glass design.

To enter, simply select a category, fill in your details and information about the project, and upload images.

Entries are open to architects, designers, engineers, and students worldwide. Projects do not need to involve Cantifix products to be eligible.

Eligible projects include residential, commercial, nonprofit, cultural, educational, hospitality, and experimental work.

Projects completed within the last 2 years are eligible for submission.

Submission Deadline: 5th May 2026

Winners will receive a trip to Switzerland to visit Sky-Frame in September 2026.

GLORIOUS AMBITIONS

Bold architectural ideas realised through glass.

Description

This award celebrates ambitious architectural projects where glass plays a defining role in the design, from bold structural solutions to expressive transparent forms. It honours those who transform ambitious ideas into extraordinary structures.

What to Submit
Projects featuring glass as a key element, showcasing creative and daring applications such as innovative façades, roofs, or transparent structures.

 

 

EMERGING VISIONARIES

Recognising the next generation of designers exploring glass.

Description
The Emerging Visionaries Award highlights emerging professionals and students who creatively use glass in forward-thinking designs.

What to Submit
Innovative projects that incorporate glass in unique and impactful ways, emphasizing originality and creativity.

 

 

LIGHT & LIVING

Enhancing wellbeing through daylight, comfort, and intelligent glazing.

Description
This award celebrates projects that use glass to actively improve human health, comfort, and wellbeing within the built environment. It recognises innovative glazing solutions that support both physical and mental wellbeing through thoughtful use of light and environmental control.

What to Submit
Projects where glass plays a key role in enhancing occupant wellbeing through improved daylight, thermal comfort, glare control, or acoustic performance. Submissions should demonstrate how the glazing solution contributes to comfort, health, or overall quality of life.

 

 

DESIGN IMPACT

Bold façades and envelopes that define architectural identity.

Description
This award recognises striking architectural expressions where the building envelope plays a defining role in the overall design. It celebrates façades and exterior elements that push creative boundaries through materiality, geometry, and construction innovation.

What to Submit
Projects featuring distinctive or innovative façade and envelope design where the external skin defines the architectural concept. Submissions should highlight design intent, visual impact, and technical ambition.

Please state the brief with particular focus on the glazing solutions used and how these helped fulfil the brief in relation to sustainability, wellbeing or glass innovation. Maximum 800 characters.
